La premiere fois que j'ai fait le camping depuis mon enfance - 'cetait le meilleur
experience pour moi! Une grande bienvenue, tout propre et calme, dans un endroit superb!
My first camping trip since I was a child and it was the best experience for me. A great welcome, everything clean and relexed in a superb setting!

Tracey, Pete and Lucy. Thank you for a wonderful stay and great hospitality. We were loath to return to the uk. Your bathroom was fantastic and good luck with the further build. Keep up the good

We had to change our booking bringing it forward 3 weeks, we we arrived 3 days before the site opened and were made really welcome by Tracey/Pete, as we arrived with our 2 dogs the heavens opened and
it poured Tracey sais you can't pitch a tent in this and not only did they let us cook our meal on their BBQ they let us use their caravan. We are very grateful for their help and generosity and will
recommend their site to veryone we know who camp.
We are really pleased that things have worked out for you guys and best wishes for the future a nice couple.

Hi Tracey and Pete (and Lucy!)
Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our stay at Camp Laurent this summer.
The site is wonderfully peaceful and relaxed and the surrounding countryside is absolutely beautiful.
Good luck with your venture in the coming years - it deserves to be a great success.
We hope to come and see you again soon.
    Claire and Pat.

Tracey and Pete were perfect hosts on their beautiful campsite with lovely views and so peaceful. I especially enjoyed the luxurious new bathroom with soap, hand towel and toilet roll much more like
a hotel bathroom than the normal campsite ones. We really enjoyed the little local cafe in the village too. Definitely planning on going back next summer.

We stayed at this campsite for 8 nights in August 2013 .... The reason we chose this campsite was because it was Adult only with a small number of pitches yet on a spacious site. It was nice to be in
a campsite where space wasn't an issue.

The facilities were immaculate throughout the stay .... We enjoyed the use of the above ground swiming pool and frequently had it to ourselves.

Tracey and Pete were very accomodating both before our arrival and during our stay.

The location is lovely .... rural and situated on the river ... and surrounded by countryside ...

We would deffinately go back to this site and have already recommended it to others.

We wish Pete and Tracey every success with their wonderful campsite.

Stayed here for four nights, the site is perfect, very quiet, nice area, excellent reception on arrival, the owners can't do enough for you,if you like wildlife this is the place to visit ,eagles flying
over the trees,a kingfisher flying down the river, and if you are a fisherman you will think you are in Heaven,in just over an hour using basic tackle kindly loaned to me free of charge by the camps
owner I had seven fish, 3 nice roach,a large Perch, a bream over 4 lbs,a common carp of 3lbs and a mirror carp of 2.5 lbs.without any effort from the beautiful narrow river Charente, all using
    yesterdays stale Baguette.
You will search all of France to find a more tranquil spot.

  • Brian Mee (mardi, 01. juillet 2014 10:23)

    All of the above.
Plus. Can recommend to anyone even if, like us, you are first time campers.
The pool was excellent on a hot day, which reached a temp of 25C (78F) perfect for a cool down.
    Thank you

  • Dee Stevens (lundi, 21. juillet 2014 16:37)

great site, quiet relaxing and superb facilities. bathrooms were of highest quality, swimming pool was lovely and excellent wifi available at all times. it was just a shame that the weather wasn't as
good as it could have been.

  • Tamara & Tony (jeudi, 31. juillet 2014 14:00)

Can't express enough how lovely Tracey & Pete's campsite was. We booked for 7 nights but stayed longer as we did not want to leave. It's a perfect paradise if you like the beautiful countryside.
The facilities were kept so clean and the feeling of space made use relax. We wish them the very best of luck with their life and business in france

  • Sue ward (mardi, 05. août 2014 13:42)

A lovely welcome and glass of vin from Tracey and Peter when we arrived. Absolutely beautiful site - the scenery is amazing. Pool is lovely and just the job on a hot day. The facilities are super
clean, and very modern. No kids either!! I would wholeheartedly recommend this site if you are looking for peace and quiet, and friendly, helpful owners.

  • serena munro (jeudi, 21. août 2014 21:38)

First time campers in france, and the best of three we stayed in by MILES. Peaceful, welcoming hosts, fab bathroom, almost deluxe! I didn't go in the pool but there are sun loungers around it, some
in shade, very thoughtful. Fresh eggs for the early birds, clean -just perfect. Very rural france, loads to see in the area and will definitely come back. thank you so much

  • Steve & Kaye (mardi, 30. juin 2015 20:51)

For our first trip to France we booked ourselves into Camp Laurent & what a welcome to France, Tracey, Pete & of course Lucy (their French bull dog) went more than the extra mile to make our
break a holiday of a lifetime & filled with special memories.
The bathroom facilities are something you would be proud of to have in your home & all kept clean. The swimming pool was a must on a hot sunny day !
The campsite itself is picturesque, being in the French countryside & all the tourist things to see & do are just a car drive away. What more could you want & ask for.

  • Nicky and Mark (mardi, 25. août 2015 11:32)

A fantastic small site that was always peaceful. The bathroom facilities were spotless and it was great to have constant hot water- a rarity on some sites! It was lovely to arrive after a long
journey to be met with a drink from Tracy and Pete who made us feel very welcome- nothing was ever too much trouble for them. In fact, they even lent us their sat nav to help us find their local
If you like wildlife then this is the site for you as we both saw many animals including deer and a kingfisher. The site is also on a cycle route that is very well marked. You will need to leave the
site to go and buy provisions as it is very rural but that's what makes it special.
If you want a relaxing, child-free site with welcoming hosts then this is the site for you. We plan to return!

Been here three weeks, and loved it. Enjoyed the peace and quiet. Very spacious site with no fixed pitches, you just need long electric leads. Pete and Tracey most helpful and friendly. Stella, the new dog is a great asset. You will be welcomed!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Camp Laurent. Tracey and Pete were remarkably helpful throughout our stay, and particularly through our difficulties. It was lovely to cool off in the pool, and the facilities are amongst the best we’ve seen. The location is idyllic and tranquil, and the pitches are certainly the most spacious we have ever come across. We will definitely return!

  • Simon Robinson (vendredi, 07. septembre 2018 15:20)

What a wonderful campsite words are not enough to describe the feeling of this place. The hosts are brilliant and they have all the facilities you need along with a great pool and a river at the bottom that our dog loved to cool down in. 5 stars for this place absolutely brilliant.

  • Jayne (samedi, 05. octobre 2019 23:23)

We stayed at this lovely quiet campsite for 2 nights in August 2019. Very large pitches with good above ground swimming pool, great for keeping cool in the hot weather. Nice, clean toilet and shower facilities. Good cycling routes in the area. Would recommend and would return to this site again. Thanks to our hosts.

Booked for a week and still here 2 weeks later... peaceful, relaxing, laid-back, excellent and clean facilities, no disco & no kids great for getting away from it all and seeing the real France. All hosted by the easy going Tracey & Peter.

We stayed in August '13, had an unforgettable time.  A true escape.  Relaxing atmosphere after a warming welcome from Tracey and Pete.  Made us feel at ease enjoying a drink together in the evening.  Friendly fellow campers.  Felt comfortable on site.  Great facilities.  We used their canor along the river one day and it was so tranquil and secluded, unforgettable paddle with the damsel flies.  We are looking forward to a return in the future!!

We stayed for two weeks in August.  The site is peaceful, calm and laid back.  Quiet, as it is adult only which we like but hard to find in France.  There are no 'set' pitches so you have the freedom to locate where you want and there is enough space no to be on top of  each other.  There is an above ground pool which is great when it gets hot.  Tracey and Peter are great hosts, they can't do enough for you but give you lots of space.  Exactly what you want on a campsite.  The location is great, in a stunning part of the Charente.  The stars at night are breathtaking as there is no light pollution.  We have really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this site.

We stayed in July/august.  This is a superb rural site within easy reach of Confolens and many small French villages.  Not too far away are some superb swimming lakes.  The site is very well kept by Pete and Tracey who make you feel very welcome and find nothing too much trouble.  The facilities are first class with plenty of hot water and space to get changed.  As this is an Adult only campsite you can enjoy the company of other like minded people with plenty of space around you.  The swimming pool is superb for a dip to cool down in the day or late in the evening.  You can find a nice relaxing spot down by the river to read a book or do a spot of fishing.  It is even possible to borrow the campsite canoe.  All in all I thoroughly recommend this campsite to anyone wishing to get away from it all and enjoy the beautiful rural countryside.
