Bike Hire
So much to explore....
The Charente is a beautiful place to explore. The car is great way to get around but sometimes exploring by bike is so much more gratifying and intimate. There are many opportunities to experience this with the many cycle routes available. Below are a selection of the cycle routes surrounding camp laurent and the Charente which can be downloaded. There will also be hard copies of all of these available at the Campsites own Tourist Information corner.
Bike hire
If you do not own you own bikes or don't want the hassle of finding somewhere to hire them, there is an alternative. We currently have 2 electric bikes on site. The have a range of approximately 20km. The bikes are also very light weight so may be used without the battery easily. Cycle Routes
Essentially based on shared lanes and green lanes, it now represents nearly 450 km of marked routes . This tour of the Charente allows you to travel the four corners of the department by picturesque roads.
With 35 cycle routes
this homogeneous coverage of the territory makes it possible to visit nearly 350 municipalities out of the 397 that make up the Charente.
These marked cycle loops are aimed at all audiences (family, nature lovers or accomplished sportsmen) since they are made up of
three types of circuits: family / discovery / exploration .
To assist you in this discovery, At the start of each route there is information on points olf interest, special views as well as picnic areas.
Each route has a map that lists the location of departure,
difficulty levels
and
remarkable places
to see on the way.
